GETTYSBURG

We drove from Davidson to Gettyburg on Sunday. The National Military Park has a very interesting film about the Civil War, the battle at Gettysburg and Lincoln's address. More men died in the battle at Gettysburg than at any other battle in North America before or since. There is a cyclorama that depicts the battle. It is four stories tall and the length of a football field....in a circle. It was painted in the 1880's by one man and took him just about a year. On Monday morning we woke to snow on the ground!
