Day 20 - Kinderdijk

We had a leisurely morning cruising the Rhine. After lunch we visited Kinderdijk, a site where there are 16 windmills. They were used to pump water from the polders into reservoirs to keep the polders from flooding. About half of the Netherlands is reclaimed land and much is below sea level.

We saw this replica of Noah's Ark while cruising this morning.

Day 19 - Cologne

The most famous attraction in Cologne is the Kolner Dom, Germany's largest cathedral which took over 600 years to construct. It survived WWII as it served as point of reference for Allied bombers. There are Roman walls, baths and remnants of Roman sewer system.

The Dom was built to hold the relics of the three wise men.
