We started the day at Chocolate World where we learned about the history of Hershey and even got some free samples.

GETTYSBURG

We drove from Davidson to Gettyburg on Sunday. The National Military Park has a very interesting film about the Civil War, the battle at Gettysburg and Lincoln's address. More men died in the battle at Gettysburg than at any other battle in North America before or since. There is a cyclorama that depicts the battle. It is four stories tall and the length of a football field....in a circle. It was painted in the 1880's by one man and took him just about a year. On Monday morning we woke to snow on the ground!

My niece Haley asked us if we would take Flat Stanley on our travels this year as part of a school project and send pictures back. Figured that blogging might be the easiest way to do that and keep family and friends informed at the same time. Just testing to see how difficult/easy this will be!
