Flat Stanleys enjoying the view on the Rhine River as we wait for the boat to leave. We are now in Aschassenburg and are enjoying the cruise so far...only problem is the internet connection. It takes forever to get connected and then you lose the connection if going under a bridge or through a lock and you only get 60 minutes at a time.

The first morning we spent in Koblenz touring the old town and then going to the German National FLower show that is held every 2 years. It was beautiful. The Flat Stanleys got to go on 2 more forms of transportation....a gondola ride across the Rhine River and a fancy bus. At Koblez, the Mosel branches off from the Rhine and we could see it from the gondola ride. Each car holds 35 people! In the afternoon we traveled down the Rhine and saw many old castles and small villages. It was a beautiful warm day and we had fun enjoying the sights! Last night they had a group of musicians come and play some beautiful old music for us.....German, Italian, Romanian and French!
.
We went through several locks on the Main River . We spent the day in Aschassenburg seeing the old castle and getting a tour of the town. Tonight we get to eat al fresco...which on a boat means we get to eat on the deck.
