Rothenburg "Easter" fountain

This fountain in Rothenburg is decorated for Eadter. In the Middle Ages, the towns didn't have running water. If you wanted to take a bath or get water for cooking, you would have to go to this well to get water. They also didn't have toilets so would throw any waste out the windows and yell what translate from to German to English as "watch for the water".
