Day 4 - Neuschwanstein

We drove today over to visit Neuschwanstein,  about an hour away. This is the castle that King Ludwig built that was Disney's inspiration  for Disney Land/world castles. We took the horse drawn carriage ride almost to the top. You get to climb over 300 stairs up (& down) to see the rooms that were finished before he died mysteriously after only living 180 days in Neuschwanstein.  Only 30 % of castle was ever completed. His bedroom took 14 woodcarvers 4 years to complete.  While the building of his multiple castles about broke the government, they are money makers today. Probably 40-50 people in each tour every 5 minutes!  Stopped on the way back to take picture of River Lech & mountain scenery.
