Day 9 - Bratislava

Bratislava, Slovenia

We spent the morning cruising the Danube & went through our first lock of over 60 plus that we will go through on our journey. Fred even got in a couple of holes of golf. The only problem we are having is waking up with the sun.....around
5 am! Only good part  of waking so early is easier to get on wi-fi to load pictures.

We got to Bratislava around lunch & then did a city tour.. We are now enjoying an evening of Slavic music & dance. Gary got chosen to do the hat dance....a version of musical chairs but with hats!

Bratislava Castle

Roland Fountain, ordered by Emperor Maximilian II I n 1572 to provide a public water supply. Roland was a knight & legendary protector of town's people.

Main Square

Have to careful around this guy, likes to look up ladies's skirts. Considered good luck to
rub his head but also the local favorite stop of dogs.

Going through the locks
